As the Vice President of York’s Alternative Risk Solutions Program division, Shelly Caprio brings over 20 years of insurance experience. Her expertise is in underwriting commercial and alternative risk insurance.
Shelly’s experience also includes forming and managing a diverse book of captive insurance programs and working with self-insured groups in California and Nevada. Shelly is a graduate of Santa Clara University and holds a California Property & Casualty Broker-Agent license.
Shelly has extensive expertise in the alternative risk market and is responsible for leading the ARS division’s growth objectives by managing our new and existing captive programs. Her diverse experience and willingness to be creative and innovative allows her to create customized alternative risk solutions, personalized to our clients’ needs.
Glen Zepnick, AFIS
Vice President of Underwriting, York Alternative Risk Solutions
Glen Zepnick has over 30 years’ experience in the insurance industry successfully building and managing new business divisions for various insurance companies. Extensive experience in Workers’ Compensation and other Property and Casualty lines of insurance, including Risk Management, Financial Reinsurance, Finite Risk, Captives, Loss Portfolio Assumptions and other large risk funding programs. Glen has worked for an insurance regulatory organization, California Workers’ Compensation Specialty Carrier, Managing General Agency, Property and Casualty Carrier and a National and International Multi-Line Carrier.
Glen lived and worked in Sacramento California developing business opportunities throughout the Sacramento and San Joaquin Valleys. The Central Valley of California is one of the richest agricultural areas in the World. His work experience in the Central Valley included Cal Farm Insurance Company, working in their managing general agency training & assisting sales with the captive agency sales staff and Regional Vice President, Branch Manager and Underwriting Manager, for multi-line and specialty insurance companies.
He holds an Agri & Farm Insurance Specialist (AFIS) professional designation and has participated in numerous public speaking engagements on various industry topics.
Monica Everett, CRIS
President, International Captive Consulting
Monica is the exclusive sales consultant for REnergy. She is responsible for the design and implementation of captive insurance structures. Monica holds a Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist Designation. She has over thirty years’ experience in Property & Casualty and Alternative Risk Insurance.
Monica is well-versed in both Group Captive and Single Parent Captive Insurance Programs. She was the lead broker and top producer for a very successful Group Captive Insurance Program for ten years, and has established many Captives and Alternative Risk Programs throughout her career.
Her focus is on the long-term reduction of risk and expense for clients. Monica has extensive experience in the Alternative Risk Marketplace, which has enabled her to advise clients seeking Captive, Self-insured, Large Deductible, Risk Retention Groups or Retrospective Rating Plan Insurance Programs.
Julie Brennan, CIC, ARM, CRIS
Program Administration Manager
Julie Brennan has over 17 years of experience in Commercial Insurance, including retail brokerage and alternative risk programs. Over the years her client roster has included a number of industries such as Construction, Manufacturing, Radio Broadcast and Public Relations, Life Sciences, large Commercial Property portfolios and Energy (Oil & Gas and Renewables). She has over 10 years of experience in Management, and has also produced a book of Property & Casualty business of her own. Julie’s strong personal client relationships and risk management approach to protect her clients’ bottom line have led to success in creating innovative and cost-saving approaches to her clients’ risk financing needs.
Prior to her career in insurance, Julie spent over 15 years in Public Relations working for an international firm, and also as a business Owner.
Julie’s active participation in the San Diego community allows her to connect and to be of service in a number of different ways, through business and personal philanthropic efforts. She holds the insurance designations of ARM (Associate of Risk Management), CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor), and CRIS (Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist).
